South & South West

The West Coast features many nice sandy beaches such as Flic-en-Flac, Wolmar, Tamarin and small fishing villages Like Case Noyale.  The South-West has a very distinctive landscape characterized by the mountainous and dry climatic conditions together with great views on the Sea. For Surfers, Tamarin beach is the place to go and for Kite Surfers, Le Morne features a world-known kite surfing spot.

For the most dramatic and beatiful sunset, head to Wolmar or Tamarin for a delightful moment and for great photos.

The scenic drive down to Le Morne, a UNESCO preserved site due to its historical heritage, and all along the South-Coast is amazing. You can stop at one of the many quiet beaches for a small picnic and for great views.

Baie du Cap, Bel-Ombre and Souillac are small villages along the South Coast.  From there you can have access to some nice beach spots and wildlife parks like the Domaine Valriche. Gris Gris, at the most southern tip of the island, is perched on top of a cliff and offers a dramatic view on the Indian Ocean.
