Weather in Mauritius

There are two main seasons in Mauritius : Summer from November to April and Winter from May to October.

The best period to be in Mauritius is usually during the summer months but there are possibilities of cyclones during this time.  The weather is generally very sunny and hot with occasional tropical showers in the afternoon.

The peak season in generally in December specially during the New-Year celebrations where all hotels and car rentals are fully booked. Easter Holidays in April as well as the month of August are the other 2 very peak months.

May and September-November are quieter periods and generally enjoy a very mild climate which is very nice to go around the Island.
